The Centre for Craft Nova Scotia

The Centre for Craft Nova Scotia was established in 1991 as a public institution dedicated to education, promotion and the provision of opportunity for Nova Scotia artisans and artists. The Centre for Craft Nova Scotia is managed by the not-for-profit organization Craft Nova Scotia .

The Centre for Craft Nova Scotia is comprised of several parts:

The Mary E. Black Gallery which is the only provincial gallery devoted to exhibiting craft, and Craft Studios which we use to host our craft courses and residency programs.

Look for a grey building with blue trim. The Studios are on the right hand side heading south, a few parking lots down from the back of the Westin and Via Rail station.

We are located in the Halifax Seaport between Pier 21 and NSCAD Port Campus. There is an old train car in front of our building.

Located at The Cultural Federations of Nova Scotia (CFNS). Entrance is through the side door of a long brick building just past the Garrison Brewery, and opposite NSCAD University.
