Summer Studio
Practice + Presentation Residency

During the summer season, Craft Nova Scotia’s Centre for Craft invites emerging craft artists to participate in a three-month creation and presentation residency. Participants in this program are granted access to the studio of their chosen medium, where they will have the freedom to work independently on a project. Residents will receive regular instruction from a Technical Advisor on how to set up their own studio, maintain equipment, and adhere to health and safety standards. Additionally, residents will collaborate to plan and install a group exhibition at the Mary E. Black Gallery,  showcasing the works created during this time.

Craft Nova Scotia’s Centre for Craft welcomes proposals for our ceramic, jewellery, weaving, glass/mixed media and woodworking studios. Artists working in paper, fibre, and other craft-based interdisciplinary practices that need space or access to a kitchen facility are encouraged to specify their requirements in their application.

Craft Nova Scotia is now accepting applications for our Summer 2026 session.

Deadline: Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM
