Our Open Studio program provides the space for artists, both hobbyists and professionals, to carry out self-directed work using our tools, resources and equipment. They run on Saturdays from 10am to 5pm, with a 1- hour break between 1pm and 2pm at the Centre for Craft studios located at 1096 Marginal Road.

Artists can purchase Open Studio hourly passes and use them individually. Once purchased, you will be provided with a link to sign up to Open Studio Hours within 1-3 business days. If you need to make a cancellation, we suggest doing it 48 hours (about 2 days) before the Open Studio session. In the case of a cancellation, the Open Studio artist will keep their hours.

First-time studio visitors need to dedicate the first 15 minutes of their first hour to a mandatory orientation.

While there will be a technician present to troubleshoot, attendees need to be able to use the equipment by themselves. Artists must bring their own materials and are encouraged to bring their own tools but are welcome to use the ones in our studios.

For artists looking to cast ingots, there will be a $5 gas fee to be paid in cash at the time of their session.
